Bonalba
course
information
This
is definitely a Ramon Espinosa
layout which, despite its
tender years, is a course
worth knowing. The variety
between holes and shots makes
this good challenge for technicians,
who like the rest have to
negotiate a number of small
lakes, in play on half the
holes, especially at the beginning.
Thereafter the going gets
a little easier. But don't
be put off by the water; if
they play from the front tees,
where the length of the layout
and position of hazards give
the course its true physiognomy.
To really judge, though, we'll
wait until the plants and
trees start to grow. Some
3,000 were planted, especially
palm
trees,
but this is already a course well
worth knowing about.
Located
in the Bonalba mountains overlooking
the Mediterranean in the Muchamiel
area of Alicante. Bonalba Golf Club
opened in 1993 and was designed
by Ramon Espinosa.
